Mummers Museum Programs

All programs require advanced reservations. Guided tours are not available on Sunday.

Who Are The Mummers?
Lecture on the origins of mummery, with a guided tour. Approximately 1 to 1.5 hours including a thirty minute video. Time can be tailored to fit your schedule. Group rate - $2.00 per person based on a group of 20. 20 plus, driver and 1 comp per 40.

Thursday Concert Luncheon
Program includes a guided tour of the museum plus a hot buffet lunch and concert by The Hardly Able String Band. Tour at 11:00 am, lunch at noon. Concert from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Cost, $16.00 per person. Minimum of 25 participants, maximum of 200. Driver and 1 comp per 40.

Making Mummer Magic
Children's art classes may include pre and post visits. Geared for school children ages 5 to 14. Art class consists of guided tour, lecture, materials for mask-making. Focus on use of color, shapes and materials representative of mummer folk art. Cost, $25.00 class fee plus $5.00 per person.

Outreach Program
Going up Broad Street. Workshop on design. Centers on the complexity of mummer costume making. Incorporates lecture and video. The lecture also includes the art history of the speaker, and shows examples of the artist's works. Lectures are adjusted to the age level of the audience, as the program is presented before both children and adults.

Birthday Party
Saturday only. Minimum 10, maximum 50 children. Program lasts two hours, and includes birthday cake, sode and pizza. $75 fee + $5 per person charge.
